My Interview:
1. When did you
realize that you wanted to be a writer?
Nitin’s Answer: Honestly, I never thought that I
would become a writer or author. Even now, I am not only engaged in writing but
also exploring in entrepreneurship and media.
2. How much time does it take for you to write a
book?
Nitin’s Answer: Usually, it takes
six to seven months to complete the manuscript depending on the time I give on
daily basis. I had completed my first book in just three months as it was
inspired my own story.
3. As we know, that
both of you are the Authors of this beautiful book. My question here is, how
did you both cope up with each other’s imagination and style of writing etc.?
Nitin’s Answer: Initially, we
spent a good time in drafting the plot of the book. It was the only tough part
throughout the journey of ‘So-called love story’. Once we were done with the
final draft, it became easy to write down the chapters one by one.
4. Where did you
get the inspiration for writing such a book?
Nitin’s Answer: Surprisingly,
there was no particular inspiration for writing this book. After receiving a
remarkable positive response to my first book, I just wanted to try writing
something different from mainstream romance novels. And consequently, I came up
with an idea of ‘So-called love story’, which I shared with Diksha and we
started working on it together.
5. What do you like
to do when you're not writing? As in, what are your hobbies?
Nitin’s Answer: When I am not
writing, I like meeting and exploring new people. Apart from that, I spend my
free time in film making and my education-based start-up venture.
6. When did you
write your first book? What was the inspiration behind it?
Nitin’s Answer: I wrote my first
book ‘The way she loved’ when I was just at 18, right after completing my
schooling. The idea or inspiration behind writing that book at such a young age
was the intent of doing something which would make me different from others and
fortunately, I had a great story to tell at that time. I believe that
inspiration comes from your inner-self to achieve your dreams.
7. Your favorite
author?
Nitin’s Answer: Well, I think it
would be an unfair, biased, and quick answer if I name one because I haven’t
read so many authors. As of now, I am trying to read different authors in my
free time. I will answer this question in the near future.
8. What do you
think makes a good story?
Nitin’s Answer: As far as I think
a story becomes good only when you’re able to connect with the reader’s mind. I
always spend more time analyzing what readers expect from me than just
expressing my own thoughts. A good story must have to hit straight to your
heart.
9. Any suggestions
for the budding writers?
Nitin’s Answer: Yes definitely! I
just want to say that writing is not just a hobby or passion or profession. It
is much more than that. For me, writing is an act of social responsibility
because whatever you write, it leaves an impression on the readers at the
subconscious level. So, read the quality piece and write not just for
expressing yourself but also considering the latter effect of it.
10. Was writing your initial goal?
Nitin’s Answer: No, I really never
thought of writing or becoming an author. It just happened by chance and I
turned out as an author but at the same time, I do have to explore myself in
other fields.
